Recent work

Some of our most current work without getting into corporate work.

Badhorse

When we first opened shop, we had a very talented Country / Rock music artist walk in and request some shirts for Adam Grant and Robert E. He was doing a small tour and was locally performing, so did some shirts for him.

Of course the shirts would be sold out before we even printed them. The band had alot of talent.

Well now they are going big time and The Art of Tees is there to support them. Now they go by “BadHorse” and are signed and will be distributed by a major label.

We are currently printing some shirts for them as they start doing some major shows. Keep your eyes out for them and show them some love.

Recent work

Here is a few of the past weeks work. It varies from DTG to screen print.

What is this DTG thing?

So you keep hearing about this DTG stuff, what is this and how does this benefit you?

Well, The Art of Tees offers many print technologies; if you are ordering one shirt, we would normally be charging you for screen print…

Well let me start from scratch, screen print is a very common form of print on shirt. Most retail garment use the screen print process to make the shirt you buy. The way it works is if you have a piece of art that uses multiple colors, there is a set up fee per color.

Let’s say your art has 6 colors, each set up for each color costs about $15. So $15 times 6 = $90 just to get it started shirt not included! It’s just how it works. With DTG it is similar to your desktop printer. The difference being that the paper is a shirt. It uses DTG or Direct-to- garment CMYK textile inks.

DTG CMYK Textile Bright VO2 Inks are produced in state‐of‐the‐art manufacturing facilities with high quality standards and testing. They are specially formulated water‐based, wash fast pigment inks that are heat set with a heat press. The DTG Textile Bright VO2 Ink can be used with ALL colored 100% cotton and many high cotton / poly blend fabrics.

Because of this technology we can produce a shirt nearly as fast as you can print this blog.

The Art of Tees can also print on black and colored garments. Which means we can print on just about anything you can do with screen print. For you, the value is that there are no screens or set up fees involved. You get quality art on you choice of quality shirt.

Give it a try. We have the design software so you can even see how your shirt will look before you buy.
Then you can shownit off to your friends and family.

Do you do anything else other than shirts?

December 14, 2009 Leave a comment

Well online The Art Of Tees does focus highly on doing t-shirts, and we will add other garments to the design software, such as: women’s tank tops, sweat shirts, jerseys and even underwear to name a few items, but behind the scenes we work on other products such as sandblasted etchings on glass, wood, and metal. This is great for custom engravings on wine glass, business card holders made of glass, logos on specialty items like plaques, both metal or glass.

Among other items we intend to expand on what we can do on shirts such as vinyl cutting, rhinestones and even newer and possibly exclusive capabilities.

Yes we also do your standard screenprinting, upto 7 colors, and can do mass production for large organizations.

Keep your eyes on our blog for more info on special programs for entertainment merchandising and non profit organizations.

How much detail can we get on a shirt?

December 13, 2009 Leave a comment

The Art of Tees had requested some great artists for sample work for us to present shirts and challenge our technologies. We would like to say we use the typical equipment, that has been around for years. But we don’t, we have the most current equipment available. We chose to start off with the best. How else can we focus on artists who want to show off their work? We want to create a support system, for artists where they can start using TAOT as their place to create merchandise for themselves and their fans. As time goes you will see this support system fall into place.
